Duration: 40 hours (60 min per hour) of tution (including 5 hours of language workshops) and 10 hours of lectures, films, conversation classes, cooking lessons, tadem meetings).

The curriculum is divided into 6 levels, according to the instructions of the European Language Portfolio: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. The lessons are keyed to the personal needs of each student, and they are intended for:
- Adult Greek language students of all levels (from absolute beginners to advanced);
- Students and young people who would like to start or improve their skills in the Greek language;
- Interpreters and translators;
- Teachers of Ancient or Modern Greek.
The grammar and the vocabulary are taught using texts and textbooks (written by the Centre). However the courses focus on speaking and listening and the students assimilate the new material through comprehensive activities and language games.
The out of the classroom activities focus on learing about Greece and the Greeks, practicing the language and entertainment.
The teachers are Greek; young, but experienced in teaching Greek as a foreign language.
Course schedule
Each course lasts for 2 weeks, from Tuesday until Friday. Saturday is a working day.
Tuesday 10:00, meeting with the teachers.
Class hours :
Tuesday – Wednesday and Saturday 17:00-20:00 &
Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9:30-14:00
Activities: Wednesday – Friday: 20:30-22:00
Sunday (in the middle of 2 weeks): Excursion & hiking to mountain Olympos or cycling outside the city.
Accommodation in hotel Olympia
– Single room: 40€/overnight (breakfast included) / 48€/overnight (breakfast & lunch included)
– Double room: 50€/overnight (breakfast included) / 66€/overnight (breakfast & lunch for 2 people included)
Accommodation at hotel Olympia is not obligatory. However we strongly recommend you the hotel, as well as the offer for half board (breakfast and lunch). If you would like to reserve a room make a note on the registration form and indicate the type of the room as well as your arrival and departure dates. For the reservation you must send a deposit equal to the cost of one overnight to the Ikarian Centre’s bank or Pay Pal account. This deposit is not refundable if you cancel.

The fees include the course materials. They do not include food, accommodation, entrance to museums or transport. They also do not include any kind of insurance (thief, travel insurance, etc.). If you would like to insure your trip you must advise your travel agency.
Please note that as a EU citizen you can be covered by the public health system in Greece if your social insurance organization provides you with the document E111.
Registration and payments
Send the registration form as soon as possible. You will receive instructions for the way you can pay the fees.
A deposit of 100 Euros must be sent with the registration form on-line (Pay Pal) or via bank transfer. The remaining amount must be paid 4 weeks before the beginning of the course. For more details and the cancellation policy please read the terms in the registration form.
